Vegha VS Code

Vegha for VS Code

A local-first API client inside VS Code. Your collections are plain-text .bru files in your repo — send, test, chain and run them without leaving the editor.

Collections that live in git

Requests are Bruno-style .bru files. The visual editor writes straight to the file, so undo, dirty state, save and git diff behave like any other source file.

Every protocol and auth type

HTTP, GraphQL (with subscriptions), WebSocket and gRPC. OAuth 2.0 with PKCE in your browser, OAuth 1.0, AWS SigV4, Digest, NTLM, WSSE, mTLS and more.

Tests, chaining, runner

Scripts, scriptless assertions and captures, request chaining, a collection runner with data files, and every test in VS Code’s Test Explorer.

AI that never sees your secrets

21 tools for Copilot agent mode, the @vegha chat participant, and an MCP server for Claude Code, Cursor and other agents. Secrets are redacted before they reach a model.

Search for Vegha in the Extensions view (Ctrl+Shift+X), or run:

Terminal window
code --install-extension vegha.vegha

The extension bundles its own engine for Windows, macOS and Linux (x64 and arm64). You don’t need .NET or the Vegha desktop app installed. See Installation.

Vegha for VS Code runs the same engine as the Vegha desktop app and the vegha CLI. A collection sends, tests and fails the same way in all three, and history, cookies and secret-manager settings are shared with the desktop app by default.
