Install on macOS
Vegha supports macOS 12 Monterey and later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
Option 1 — Direct installer (recommended)
Section titled “Option 1 — Direct installer (recommended)”- Download the package for your Mac:
- Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) —
Vegha-osx-arm64.pkg - Intel —
Vegha-osx-x64.pkg
- Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) —
- Open the
.pkgand follow the installer. Vegha is placed in/Applications. - Launch Vegha from Launchpad or
/Applications.
The direct build is signed and notarized by Apple, and includes in-app auto-update via Velopack — see Updating.
Option 2 — Mac App Store
Section titled “Option 2 — Mac App Store”Search for Vegha in the Mac App Store. The MAS build is sandboxed and updates are managed by the Store. Because of the sandbox, the MAS build has minor differences from the direct build (for example, some filesystem prompts when opening collections outside your home folder).
Gatekeeper
Section titled “Gatekeeper”The direct build is notarized, so Gatekeeper allows it to run normally. If you ever see a Gatekeeper prompt after moving the app between machines, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
